Together with a team of eight people (six of them being Dutch, one Hungarian and one Swiss) I have made a trekking expedition Mera Peak in Nepal in October 2001. Starting from Jiri we reached Khare Base Camp about ten days later. On October 15, I reached the summit of Mera Peak (6461m) together with Natascha Smits and the two sherpas Mingma and Dawa.
After reaching the summit we continued our trekking through the deslotae Hinku Valley. Several days later we crossed the tricky Amphu Labtsa pass (5780m) together with the entire team. Passing Dingboche en Namche we finally descended to Lukla, were we took the plane back to Kathmandu.
